Child and Career Development Center Mission Statement

The Child and Career Development Center strives to provide a child-centered teaching and learning environment that enables students to reach their full potential in all aspects of their lives.

The image shows a student in a red shirt sitting in a wheelchair in a classroom setting. An older woman with gray hair is leaning down and speaking to the student in the wheelchair, who is looking up at her with a smile. The classroom has lockers, a desk, and other typical school furnishings in the background.

About the Child and Career
Development Center

At the Child and Career Development Center, our goal is the same as yours - to help your child reach his/her full potential. We specialize in providing a caring, nurturing learning environment, which encourages and enables all children to experience success.

How to Enroll

The Child and Career Development Center (CCDC) is jointly owned by the 12 school districts of Chester County. It is operated on their behalf by the Chester County Intermediate Unit.

If you feel that the CCDC is the proper placement for your special needs child, please contact your school district's special education administrator to discuss enrolling your child in CCDC or to arrange a tour of the building.

Thank you for your interest in our school and our programs.

Celebrating Husky Heroes

At the Child and Career Development Center, every day brings moments of growth, connection, and joy. Behind those moments are our incredible teachers, aides, support staff, and administrators—our Husky Heroes—who create a school environment where students thrive. Families like the Changarises and Falcones have seen firsthand how meaningful those connections can be.

“I was nervous how Cam would do in school. Now I can't imagine him being anywhere else.”
– Rachel Changaris

From aides who become family, to creative classroom strategies, to front office and leadership support, our staff make a difference in every corner of our building. Has a teacher, aide, or staff member changed your child’s life at CCDC? We invite you to share your story and help us celebrate our Husky Heroes.
